I've said it before and I'll say it again - I like this type of theme. I enjoy parsing something and seeing what phrases I can come up with. And just the wordplay involved. The base phrase always seems like something that would be seen in a cryptic puzzle. Anyway, I think the theme phrases are all lively. I know 17-across got in some heat earlier but made a nice apology. And the shows he's involved in are fantastic. Got some larger corners in this one with what I think are pretty lively answers. Heard an NPR podcast involving the topic in 46-across, basically absolving the product of being harmful. Very interesting and shows how a rumor or one anecdote can almost destroy something, even if it's not true.
