I've used this concept before, in this puzzle. I think it worked out well and I got some interesting and modern theme answers. Thank you, crummy Star Wars movies for 38-across. And for the popularity of 24-across. I was able to get some lively longer answers in the downs. I don't think I've seen 2-down before and I actually used 3-down in my 7xwords puzzle, which you can find here. We had a 43-down growing up. We had these Disney sing-along movies we would watch on it (I think. They could have been VHS). Good times. I do feel bad about the crossing of 19-down and 23-across.
