Themed #97 - Sounds Sad

I'm on vacation this week in the Outer Banks (Duck). My family has been renting a house here for the past 3 years, so it's becoming a tradition. I think 49-across was the first theme answers and the rest fell into place. I also think I finally came up with a decent title.
